Active Hope consists of a team of competent, committed and experienced employees. Allow us to introduce them to you on this page.
Paul, our projects manager, has been part of our team for over 6 years, first as a volunteer, and now as a staff member. For many years he worked as an optician manager, then decided to re-focus and is now a qualified instructor in archery, climbing, water sports and mountain biking. Paul loves the challenge of our mentoring work, patiently giving our young people opportunities to succeed and grow.
Andy has been involved with Active Hope since 2011, when he joined us on placement as part of his university degree. He continued as a volunteer for a season, and is now an employed member of staff, supporting all aspects of our work. Andy thrives on working with our Primary School groups, particularly through our residential season. He loves to instruct archery and is also qualified in climbing and water sports.
Gaz is our newest member of the team. Just like Lynsey, he first came to us as a volunteer on an Adventure Academy project...and is now a full time staff member! Gaz loves being outside, loves being busy, and adores pushing himself to the max!!! He has recently RUN up and down Snowdon 7 times to raise funds for us.
Gaz previously worked in a school for children with additional needs, so brings with him lots of experience and a passion to see young people encouraged and cared for.
We are excited to welcome Beck onto our team, as a new volunteer.
Beck loves anything to do with the outdoors, and is keen to gain experience and skills from working alongside the Active Hope instructors.
She particularly enjoys water sports and will take any opportunity to get in the sea!
