Activities.

The Which Way Now Project
The WWN Project has been running in Warrington for 3 years now and over 600 Primary School pupils have taken part. It is a 4 session programme that links outdoor sessions with classroom assemblies. The activities include Orienteering, Team Building games, Problem Solving activities and lots of fun! If you would like to recieve a WWN Project leaflet please email us your address and school.

Adventure Academy
Adventure Academy works in partnership with 8 Schools in the Orchards area of Warrington to provide opportunities for children to participate in Outdoor Activities during their holidays. During 2008 / 2009  50 children took part in the project and, thanks to a grant from Stronger Together in Warrington, we were able to facilitate a weekend residential for all the children to Pensarn Harbour in Wales. Active Hope fundraises to enable this project to happen - it provides fantastic opportunities for the children - click on the videos link on the home page to see some of what happened.

Trainee Instructor Programme (Active Mentoring)
This programme works with boys of High School age and gives them an opportunity to receive basic training in some of the activities that we offer. They have the opportunity of practical work based placements with us and also our partner centre in Wales. The aim of the project is raise self esteem, provide new skills for the boys and motivate them for school. The boys are mentored throughout the Trainee Instructor Programme and records of their achievements are provided. It is an excellent opportunity for the boys and is proving very successful.

School Residentials
We are committed to helping Schools in difficult areas to facilitate residential experiences for their children. This can vary from centre based activities to camping expeditions. Active Hope enables the schools to lower the costs involved through our bursary fund raising.

The Future
In 2009 we are exploring the possibility of an international ski trip - watch this space for more information.
We have many plans for the future to expand and develop our work
