Adventure Academy works in partnership with 12 of our local Primary Schools providing children with some unique opportunities in their school holidays.

The schools refer pupils to the project ensuring that the children who will benefit most get the opportunity.

During Adventure Academy the children are picked up by minibus from their home, we provide breakfast and lunch as part of the project, we provide waterproofs, fleeces, woolly hats- basically anything needed to access the day of activities.

The children will then have the opportunity to take part in

  • archery

  • mountain biking

  • indoor climbing

  • den building

  • forest games and more.

There is no cost passed onto the families for this project and it is heavily supported by our teams of volunteers.

Each year we run an Adventure Academy in October and February half terms and work hard to fundraise to enable us to invite all the children who take part on a residential in Wales -  a long weekend of adventure and fun.

This truly is a life changing project that has a huge impact on the children who take part.

If you would like to help us to provide this life changing project, please consider financially supporting Active Hope. Please see our donate page for ways to do this
