Active Hope believes that outdoor and adventurous activities give children and young people an incredible opportunity to grow and develop skills, and personal qualities. We have carefully developed a range of projects and activities that can each be tailored to meet your groups particular learning outcomes.
Below you will find information about each project and the variety of activities on offer, we are keen to work with you to ensure that your group gets the very best learning experience we can offer.
Each project and activity lists which learning outcomes it can be used to develop and which activities are available as part of each project, the list is not exhaustive and if you
have a particular learning outcome for your group then please get in touch and we will work together on how best to achieve it.

problem solving
These activities will challenge and develop a groups ability to work well together or individually to complete a particular task, with activities that can be varied to a suitable level for each group, promoting discussion, the sharing of ideas and inclusion.

social skills
Activities that take groups beyond their normal social interactions and provide opportunities to develop social skills such as empathy, understanding and simply providing an opportunity for groups to spend time in each others company on a shared experience

communication
Activities that require teams to talk and listen to each other, sharing their thoughts and ideas, as well as feeding back to and supporting one another.

teamwork
Activities that require Teams to work together to succeed, with challenges and tasks that can be adapted to suit the group.

resilience
Activities that will challenge groups to face their fears in a safe and enjoyable environment, as well as requiring them to persevere to succeed with the support and encouragement of our Instructors and their peers.

physical
Activities that require groups to challenge themselves physically, by learning and acquiring a new skill or by a physical challenge or both!

independence
Activities that require young people to take an increased level of responsibility for themselves, making their own choices and enjoying their own achievements.

recreation
Activities that are simply about the group enjoying themselves together or experiencing something new and making memories.
